May/June
The band is wrapping up a busy couple months and we are looking forward to a bit of a break over the summer. We will be playing some festivals and heading out to Banff so we will be out playing but not as much. We are remixing our second CD and we are looking forward having it available soon. As you will soon find out we have a new drummer joining us. Between work and other commitments Dave found himself stretched to the limit and has decided to leave the band. He will continue to contribute to the Red Deer music scene at a more relaxed pace. We are happy to welcome Martin Coyle to the band and know he will fit in just fine.
February/March
The band had a quiet time in January. We took a little time after a busy stretch and relaxed after a hectic holiday season. As I look at our calendar we are in for another busy couple months and it's time to get out and make some music! We will be recording a couple of tracks with the Calgary Highlanders Pipe Band for their new CD. We thank them for asking us to participate in their project. St. Patrick's Day is sneaking up on us and we always have a great time. This year we are at the Blarney Stone - North here in Red Deer so come on out and join us for a great party!
December/January
Christmas is almost upon us and we will be taking a bit of a break until new years after our early December shows. We are looking forward to seeing everyone in the new year. Right now we don't have a lot going on except recording a couple tunes with the Calgary Highlanders Pipeband. That will be very cool experience for us all. With the CD release behind us we can concentrate on adding new tunes to the set list so expect to hear some fresh material in the new year. For now I would like to wish all a Merry Christmas and a prosperous and healthy New Year. Slainte!
September/October
Thanks to everyone who came out to our CD release on September 11-12. We really enjoyed seeing everyone and we hope you had a good time. We are quite pleased with the way the CD turned out and look forward to playing the new tracks at upcoming shows. We also have new shirts with the "License To Kilt" logo on them so you can pick one of those up at one of our shows if you want. It's almost time to hang up the golf clubs and get back working on new tunes. Summer seemed to blow by but with the CD finally being finished we can concentrate on playing the live shows. We are looking forward to seeing you all soon. Cheers!!
July/ August
We've played a few gigs and had a few holidays but we are getting ready to unleash our new CD "License To Kilt" very soon now. It looks like our CD release will be in early September so stay tuned for the date and location of our CD release party. We hope to see everyone there to help us celebrate this event as we worked very hard to make this our best CD ever!! The CD is on it's way to get replicated so we know we will have it in our hands very soon. There are 12 studio tracks and 2 live tracks with 9 originals. We think it is our best work to date and hope everyone feels the same way.
May/June
Spring is here and summer is knocking on the door. We usually take it a little easier in the summer months to enjoy the weather and other summer stuff but it looks like we will be keeping busy. That's okay as we really enjoy getting out there and playing for you all. I'm not going to say anything about our CD except that it will be done this year. You will know as soon as I know. Thanks to everyone who came out to our spring shows and we are looking forward to playing a few more pub dates. That's all for now and we'll see you later.
